At Woodhouse and District Community Forum we are making sure all members of our community our digitally included. With a growing number of services going online, we recognise that some people are left wondering what to do if they have no access to the internet or don't really do things online. We are ensuring there is accessibility to the internet by offering our Hub as a space to use the internet and helping build confidence and trust around the digital services on offer through our digital drop-in sessions, this way everybody will be able to benefit from online services.
You can access the internet 9.00am-3.00pm Monday-Thursday at Woodhouse Community Hub & Library.
You can also attend a digital support appointment which run at various locations around Woodhouse and surrounding areas, get in touch with Katie to make an appointment. In these sessions you can learn how to use the NHS app, order repeat prescriptions, make appointments or access your health records. You can also learn the basic skills needed to feel comfortable and confident online.
This project is funded by the Lottery Community Fund.
"Thank you so much it all makes sense now. I was really struggling to find the right links to click. I'll be able to order my prescriptions myself now"
Patient from Handsworth Medical Practice
"I was speechless. I'd got my username and password for SystmOnline - probably about 3 or 4 years ago. It was before Covid but I'd never used it. So I thought I'd give it a try. I logged in and ordered my prescription just before 1pm. It was easy. Then, 7pm I had a knock at the door. My medication had been delivered. I couldn't believe it. So easy and so efficient"
Patient from Woodhouse Health Centre
"That's brilliant that is"
Patient from Woodhouse Health Centre supported over the phone to order repeat prescriptions via accurX.
